![]() I have had multiple laptops and desktops and I have never experienced Realtek drivers not working, I have tried having issues with creative but even there the Microsoft basic audio driver would give sound through the audio jack. How can we write 2022 and have issues with realtek audio drivers? When I actually got some Realtek program to work the only output is showing is the digital output. Spend hours and hours trying drivers from Microsoft, then MSI and then Realtek and every time I get to the part of the installation where it ask to reboot, I reboot and it looks like the installation just uninstalls itself, because before the reboot the program is actually visible on the computer, but when I restart it is gone again. ![]() My original problem was that I use my headphones a lot, so much that my previous laptop audio jack 3.5 output stopped working after a while. all software, a better overall picture is EXTRA INSTANT OFF on 1TB GIGABYTE AORUS (PCIe Gen4). I have a (5 years old) Dell (inspiron 15 3542) laptop with an audio jack 3.5 for headphones and windows 10a and 'realtek high definition audio' driver. I don't even know at what time it stopped working? 1-CH-HD-Audio (Realtek ALC887/897 Audio-Codec) 1 PCIe 3. ![]() So if I pick headphones the mic will not function, and if I pick microphone, both will not function. Realtek will only let me pick between microphone or headphones though. After using a sound card for almost a year I needed the audio jack and the whole Realtek thing was gone. The Kingston HyperX cloud ii (my headset) either only plugs in through USB or through a single 3.5mm jack that contains both microphone and audio signals. They were working for some time using the ones from Microsoft store. I have the MSI b450m mortar max, I have also given up on those Realtek drivers. ![]()
